The 2024 season of the Indian Premier League has been enlivened by the young pace sensation Mayank Yadav of the Lucknow Super Giants ( LSG) as he has made a significant impact for the side despite just making his debut.
However, an intriguing video has emerged where footage of his bowling was placed with a mirrored version of the Pakistan fast bowler, Mohammad Amir.
When both videos are played simultaneously, there is an uncanny resemblance in their bowling actions.
Yadav has already electrified the tournament with his fiery fast deliveries, which even exceed the 150 kph mark. He has also clinched the Man of the Match awards in both the games he has played, delivering match-winning spells in both fixtures.
Against the Punjab Kings, Mayank turned the tables by dismissing Jonny Bairstow, Prabhsimran Singh, and Jitesh Sharma to help his side secure their first points of the season.
Amir is currently with the Pakistan team after reversing his retirement in preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup in June 2024. Alongside him, the all-rounder Imad Wasim has also made a U-turn in his retirement as the squad is presently in Kabul undergoing a training camp.
The left-handed fast bowler has garnered a wealth of experience from playing in franchise leagues across the globe, and his familiarity with the West Indies conditions will benefit the side greatly, considering he finished third in the wicket-taking charts in the Caribbean Premier League 2023.
